Rooted in Service, Grown for Veterans

Behind every program is a mission built on lived experience — service, sacrifice, and a belief that agriculture can heal what combat leaves behind. Here’s why this work matters.

Why Comfort Farms?

A Personal Mission

For Commander Conyers, this project isn’t just a program; it’s personal. Rooted in the land he inherited from his grandfather and shaped by his own path in agronomy, he saw firsthand how working the soil restores what service can take away: focus, confidence, and purpose. Partnering with STAG Vets and Comfort Farms gave him a proven, outcomes-driven model already changing lives, one built to scale statewide and deliver measurable results for Georgia’s veterans.

Personal Roots in Agriculture

He inherited a farm from his grandfather and grew up learning discipline, responsibility, and land stewardship, which shaped both his character and his academic path (Plant and Soil Science/Agronomy and Chemistry).

Belief in Agriculture's Healing Power

He's seen how working the land restores focus, builds confidence, and creates purpose, the same things many veterans are searching for after service.

Proven Partner & Model Already at Work

STAG Vets, Inc. and Comfort Farms already deliver a holistic, outcomes-driven framework tackling PTSD, isolation, and economic instability, giving him a replicable model rather than a start-from-scratch idea.

Scalability & Measurable Impact

The project isn't just a feel-good initiative; it's structured to expand statewide through strategic partnerships and diversified funding, with real metrics in employment, mental health, and housing stability.
